about our Board and train camps

Here at Clover Canine, we believe that training a dog takes time, patience, and lots of love! Our program is designed with all of that in mind. During the camp your dog is trained in a facility that is built around the owner, Garrett Murphy’s home. It is a loving and very realistic environment that replicates most everyday activities. At the start of the camp, we provide your pup with a few days to adjust to being in a new environment and around new people. It’s important to us that we build a relationship and trust with each dog that we train. We take the best pieces of all the training philosophy’s and use them to create a well- trained dog that doesn’t behave just because they know they need to but are also quite happy to do so! Our proven balanced training method provides a clear picture of what is expected of your pup. We achieve this through an emphasis on proper communication and positive reinforcement. The base of the camp is the same, but every single dog is different, so we do customize each camp depending on the needs of the owner and the dog. During the camp your dog will also have the chance to take multiple outings to parks, restaurants, stores (Home Depot and anywhere dog friendly), and on the hiking trail near us to re-enforce their training in the real world. There are a few different ways we help to ensure that the training on your dog sticks. We provide private lessons for the owner(s) while your dog is with us. In addition, we offer private lessons after your pup goes home that the owner can schedule for either in-home or public. We recommend scheduling the lessons within the first month for best results. Should you have any other issues with your furry friend we are here to answer any questions for the life of your dog!

2-week camp

Our 2-week camp teaches all the basics of Heel, Sit, Down, Stay, and Come. We provide a private lesson for the owner(s) at the end of the camp, which is also pick-up day. We recommend scheduling the lesson within the first month for best results. Should you have any other issues with your furry friend we are here to answer any questions for the life of your dog! In addition, we offer a hour-long private lesson after your pup goes home that the owner can schedule for either in-home or public. We recommend scheduling the lesson within the first month for best results. Should you have any other issues with your furry friend we are here to answer any questions for the life of your dog! 4-5 week Off-leash e-collar program

Over the course of the e-collar camp, we slowly introduce the dogs to what an e-collar is to create off-leash reliability in your dog. This camp is a flat rate for the 4 weeks. On occasion, we might end up needing a few extra days with them. We will absolutely communicate that with you, and we will not charge you for those extra days. We provide 2 private lessons for the owner(s) while your dog is with us that typically occur at the end of week 3 and the end of week 4. On that last lesson we are more than happy to bring your pup to you and preform the lesson in your home. In addition, we offer 2 one hour-long private lessons after your pup goes home that the owner can schedule for either in-home or public. We recommend scheduling the lessons within the first month for best results. Included in this program: 2 private lessons during the camp (one at the facility and one in- home), 2 hour-long private lesson after your dog goes home, training prong collar, e-collar, place bed, handmade 6-ft leather leash and baths.

Puppy prep program

The Puppy Prep Program is a 2 part program. The first part in training your new puppy is a 2 week stay with us. In these first 2 weeks we focus on teaching your puppy the basic muscle memory for each command using lots of food, luring and fun games! All of the commands that have been taught will then be re-enforced and perfected later on when they come back for the second part of the program, which is the 3-week stay with us. During this part of the program we start talking them out into public to re-enforce their training in the real world. They also get crate training, potty training, socialization with other puppies and lots of love while they’re here!

Private lessons

$100/lesson at facility

$150/in home lesson

Sessions are generally held at the facility where we can work on basic obedience and specific problems that may need solving, as well as advanced instruction. Private lessons can also be held in public places or in your own home if that is what is needed for you and your dog.

Group Classes (AKC CGC and Beginner)- $250

AKC(American Kennel Club) CGC (Canine Good Citizen): The AKC CGC is a two-part program designed to 1.) teach responsible dog ownership to owners and 2.) certify dogs that have the training and behaviors needed to be reliable, well behaved members of their families and communities.  This is a six-week course with one class weekly, all culminating in the AKC CGC test on week six.  During the class, we train through the behaviors needed to pass the test, providing guidance on dog handling skills and training exercises necessary for testing. Throughout this class, we provide a comfortable learning environment for both dog and handler, all students are encouraged to engage and ask questions throughout the class.  After passing the test students are issued an official AKC CGC title for their dog. This title proves that handlers have made the effort and followed through with training, teaching their dogs proper etiquette in a public setting.

Beginner Classes: This is a 6-week course that consists of one 1-hour long class a week.  Our beginner class teaches the basic, common commands such as: Heel, Sit, Down, Stay, Come.   Along with these common commands, we teach our students key concepts of Dog Training Theory.  The group class setting provides students the opportunity to train around a variety of distractions as well. This education gives you the tools to build a valuable and engaging relationship with your furry family member.
